Update In Ohio

 Update In Ohio

I've had the great pleasure of working with my Grandparents, Ben and Jane Lamp, on two redecorating projects.  This is the photographic story of redecorating their family room in Dublin, Ohio.

A little background info, both Grandparents grew up on farms outside of Colombus, OH.  These pictures of the family farm were taken on my trip.

Fabric is often my inspiration for an entire project. This fabulous large scale print is from Duralee,
I paired it with a wide stripe to bring out the red.

As you can imagine I was very excited to come across two original farm scene oil paintings in just the right color palette at my favorite West Midtown rug shop!

Window treatment sketches that I sent to a Colombus area workroom.

With a design plan and purchases, it was time to drive them to Ohio.  A not so minor holdup was the houseboat we got stuck behind on 75N between Chatanooga and Knoxville.  Thank goodness my Mom came with me for good company!

And finally some pictures of the completed design.  The chairs around this game table are older upholstered chairs.  We had slipcovers made out of the fabulous Duralee print- they turned out wonderfully!  Notice one of the farm scenes on the wall.

The other farm scene looks great above the mantle flanked by tall topiaries.

Pillows were made out of each fabric to pulling color over to the neutral sofas.  The painting above the sofa was ordered from my favorite studio Brown Dog Art/John Beard Fine Art.

The Lamps are enjoying their new space.
